About Little Rock Good News

Little Rock Good News (LRGN) is a local media institution for Central Arkansas — Little Rock, North Little Rock, and the surrounding metro across Pulaski, Saline, Faulkner, and Lonoke counties, with neighbors beyond when the story is strong. Our product is trust, delivered in the form of positive news.

“Positive news” does not mean soft news, fluff, or public relations. It means rigorous, verified journalism about what is working: the businesses opening and thriving, the neighbors solving problems, the nonprofits moving the needle, the schools and students achieving things, the events that bring the region together. Our frame is never “everything is fine” — it is “here is who is working on it.”

How we verify

Every factual claim in an LRGN story is verified before publication, claim by claim, under a written rule: two independent sources, a single attributed source, written confirmation, or an original document. Each claim records its evidence, who verified it, and when. A story cannot be published — the publishing system structurally refuses — until its verification record is complete, its sources are attributed, and a human editor has approved it.

Automation helps us find news from official local sources. It never writes, never verifies, and never publishes. Every story you read here was checked and published by a person.

The sources behind a story are printed on the story itself, under “Sources & verification” — with links to the original material wherever it exists publicly.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we say so — publicly and unembarrassed. Corrections and updates appear directly on the story, dated and labeled, while the story keeps its original URL and publication date. We do not quietly edit a story and move on. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it in the open. Corrections are reviewed against the available source material before we change anything.

Who owns LRGN

LRGN is independently owned by its founder, who has chosen to remain private so the organization — not any individual — is the brand. No political party, PAC, church, or outside investor owns any part of LRGN.

Anonymity never excuses non-accountability: our standards, corrections, and any commercial relationships are always disclosed. The who is private; the how never is.

What we cover — and don’t

If a story is not about Central Arkansas, it is not our story. We are secular and non-political: faith communities appear as community actors (a church food drive is community news), and we never adopt religious or partisan framing.
